Men's Senior Coach

Tim Spehr

Tims coaching journey in AFL began in 2016 and since then, his experience has spanned across various levels, including coaching several first-grade school teams, assisting in the SUANFC Women’s Program, and the SUANFC NEAFL program. His appointment as Head Coach of the SUANFC U19 Division 1 ‘Colts’ team in 2021 marked a important moment in his career.

Under Spehr’s leadership, the Colts team achieved back-to-back premierships in 2022 and 2023, a testament to his coaching prowess. Additionally, he played a crucial role in establishing a strong U19s Division 2 team, contributing significantly to the holistic future of the club. His high football IQ, unwavering commitment, and profound connection with the club’s youth and next generation were key factors in his appointment as the Head Coach of the men’s team.

Women's Senior Coach

Jon Dyster

Jon comes from a rich background of coaching in local junior football with the Newtown Swans, and came to SUANFC, coaching in the U19s program for a number of years as well as being on the board in the Men's Football Operations Role. In 2021, Jon was appointed to the Women's Football top job, and under he guidance and expertise took the Women's Premier Division team from 8th place at the beginning of the season to a Preliminary Final. Jon is a club stalwart, who is known around the club for his leadership skills, incdredible passion, willingness to go above and beyond and of course extremlely strong football knowledge.
