2016 SUANFC Player Sponsorships

In 2016, SUANFC has introduced a new sponsorship initiative, allowing companies, family and friends to sponsor an SUANFC player during the 2016 season.

A player sponsorship helps cover costs related to getting players on the field in the blue and gold hoops.

So far in 2016, 9 different sponsors have come on board to support players.

Prudence Consulting begun sponsoring young NEAFL rookie Allister Clarke at the start of the season, due to Al’s efforts around the club, transporting gear between training venues and helping coaching staff with numerous tasks. Al is yet to feature at the NEAFL level this season, but has been selected  in the AFL Sydney Representative Squad.

Hype DC sponsored Damien Bonney, an employee of theirs, who has played in all 8 games for the NEAFL side this season. Bonney is averaging 19 disposals, 5 marks and 4 inside 50’s in 2016.

Worksense provided sponsorship for Daniel Preen, a young key position player who recently made his debut for the club in Round 7 against Brisbane. Preen has since played 3 games, successfully shutting down opposition key forwards. Preen’s standout performance came in Round 8 where he led the Students in tackles with 8.

Data Processors also sponsored an employee of theirs. Monty Krochmal, a member of the NEAFL Leadership Group has played 3 NEAFL games in 2016. Monty has mainly played through the midfield, averaging 14 disposals at a 74% efficiency rate.

Flawza, a company involved in improving the way social media is used throughout the community, decided to sponsor Club favourite Tim Barton as a way of improving their company’s advertising channels. Tim has had an interesting start to 2016 having missed Round 2 & 3 with a serious concussion, before bouncing back to once again, remain the heart of the Students backline, averaging 13 disposals, 5 marks and 3 tackles a game.

Prudence Rehab is sponsoring 2015 Driscoll Medal winner Matt Rawlinson this season. Continuing his stellar form from 2015, Matt has been averaging 24 disposals a game (15 of them being contested) and will be one of the favourites to take home the Driscoll Medal, come Presentation Night.

Sponsoring Sam Fong this season is Australis Health Advisory. So far in 2016, Fong has averaged 18 disposals, 3 marks and 3 rebound 50’s.

SUANFC Club President Chas Wilkinson has also decided to join the program, sponsoring Blues’ defender Michael Fogarty in 2016.

Fujitsu have decided to sponsor 3 players, after joining the SUANFC Player Sponsorship program just 2 weeks ago.

With many players still yet to lock in a player sponsor, SUANFC encourages any companies, family and friends to sponsor a SUANFC player during the 2016 season.

Benefits include:
– Your organization’s logo and description on specialised SUANFC webpage
– Club branded t-shirt
– Opportunity to meet player at corporate/social function
– Keep up to date with how your player is performing with detailed stats throughout the year
– Letter of appreciation from player
– Your company mentioned alongside your player in the event he wins a club or competition award at the end of the season
