Division 3 ‘Reds’ aim to Power towards Grand Final Success

SUANFC’s Division 3 Reds continued a fantastic season last weekend when they defeated Western Suburbs Magpies by 66 points in the Preliminary Final to earn a Grand Final berth against the UTS Bats at Blacktown International Sports Park, at 11.05am this Saturday.

Our Reds have had a fantastic 2015 season under coach Sam Power with the side finishing second on percentage in the regular home and away season.

Coach Sam Power believes that his side have what it takes to beat the UTS Bats this weekend.

“After a disappointing semi against UTS we bounced back with a quality performance against Wests. We’ll be looking to go back to our game style that got us into this position when we line up this Saturday.”

All year they have battled out with UTS winning one game each in the regular season when the two sides faced off. In the semi-final UTS defeated Sydney Uni in order to win their place in the Grand Final and the students are out for revenge.

“The boys are up and about. I know a few are still stinging after the loss to UTS and are now excited for another shot at them. No greater opportunity to show what we are about than in a Grand Final in front of a raucous Sydney Uni crowd,” said Power.

Good luck to our Division 3 Reds in their quest for the 2015 Flag! Match details are:
