The Board has approved the appointment of an Integrity Committee in conformity with a Charter developed in consultation with NSW/ACT AFL. The Committee will initially comprise an Integrity Officer (Peter Hastings QC) , the General Manager (Pippa Temperley) and the Head Coach of the NEAFL team (Tom Morrison). Josh Carr will be Secretary .
The purpose of the Committee is to assist the President and the Board with the oversight of significant Club related regulatory and compliance issues. In particular, the Committee is to oversee the Club’s compliance with NEAFL Rules and NSW /ACT AFL Regulations as well as AFL Codes of Conduct on matters such as gambling, anti-doping and medical procedures.
The Committee, particularly Peter Hastings (ph. 0412649451), will be a point of contact for Club members who have concerns about the integrity of the Board, coaches or players.
Integrity is increasingly being recognised as an important part of all sports and the Club is pleased that it is involved in the development of a model which will be available for all NSW/ACT AFL clubs.
A copy of the Integrity Committee Charter will accessible on the Club’s website shortly.
