The Growthbuilt Sydney University Australian National Football Club returns to action this weekend for Round 12, with Sydney Uni No.1 Oval hosting five matches across the day, including Premier Division contests against Parramatta Goannas and Inner West Magpies. Across the city, Sydney University sides will also take on Manly Warringah Wolves, Pennant Hills Demons, Newtown Breakaways and UTS Bats in another important weekend of football.

This weekend also marks Sponsors Day at Sydney Uni No.1 Oval, where the club will welcome and acknowledge the businesses and individuals whose ongoing support makes the program possible. Sponsors and supporters will enjoy a premium match day experience from the Grandstand, including coaches’ briefings, best on ground presentations, drinks and refreshments, while watching our Women’s and Men’s Premier Division teams in action. The club extends its sincere thanks to all sponsors and supporters for their continued investment in Sydney University Australian National Football Club.

The weekend also provides an opportunity to celebrate Club Captain Nathan Tang, who officially reaches his 101st game for the club after quietly passing the 100-game milestone last weekend. In typical fashion, Tang chose not to publicise the occasion, preferring the focus remain on the team’s important victory and the debut of a new Premier Division player.

Since arriving from Leeton, Nathan has become one of the club’s most respected leaders, captaining the club over the past two seasons while setting the standard through his selflessness, professionalism and commitment to his teammates. A tough and dependable footballer, Tang’s influence extends far beyond the field, and his milestone is a reflection of the respect he has earned across the club. Congratulations, Tangy.
