Round 4 / 5 Results

Round 5 for our Premier teams and Round 4 for divisional grades delivered a dominant set of results across the club, highlighted by a commanding performance from our Men’s Premier Division to retain the Peter Ramus Cup. Read on for this week’s Clarke Buyers Agents Player of the Week.

The Growthbuilt Sydney University Australian National Football Club continued its 2026 home and away season with a strong, and impressive round of performances across multiple grades, with results reflecting depth, and consistency across the program.

The Men’s Premier Division performance was a key highlight, with a 166-point win securing the Peter Ramus Cup and reinforcing the standard at the top level.

Peter Ramus, known as “Branch”, served the University club for over 40 years as a player, captain, coach, and long-serving official. His impact extended beyond the club through his work in junior development across Sydney’s inner west with Western Suburbs.

The Peter Ramus Cup recognises this legacy. Both clubs honour his contribution to the game, from building programs to creating pathways that remain in place today.

This year’s contest at Picken Oval again brought that connection to life, and with the win, Sydney University retains the Peter Ramus Cup.

We were pleased to also welcome a group of long-time club patrons, friends of Peter, and supporters of the club, including Jan Ramus, wife of the late Peter Ramus, who attended the match.
