Sam rejoined our club this year after playing for two years with our NEAFL team. He was a key member of our backline playing alongside mentor and good friend Tim Barton, who was awarded a Blue in 2010. Sam has played 48 games for Sydney
University, including 32 for the NEAFL team and 16 of a possible 18 games in the Men’s
Premier Div. (MPD) team in 2025. He missed 2 games through injury.

A crucial member of our backline, he has helped thwart many offensive attacks. He
executed the most tackles and intercept marks and was third for contested possessions
for the season, in the MPD team, an insight into his pressure and ability to win the ball.

Sam finished Runner-Up in the Tim Driscoll Medal, awarded for the Best & Fairest
Player in MPD team, to none other than Alex Witherden. Sam was an important player
for the Sydney AFL Rep. team that defeated the Canberra AFL Rep. team on 10 May
this year.

Along with all his football activities, working in a full-time job, he also completed year
two of his Master of Business Administration at Sydney University.

Sam was joined at the dinner by family and friends. A most enjoyable evening was had
by all.
