Division 1 Blues aim for third straight premiership across two divisions

Sydney University’s Division 1 side, the Blues, have qualified for their 3rd straight grand final after defeating the Balmain Tigers by 11 points at Henson Park last Saturday. Lead by coach Adam Clark, the back-to-back Division 2 Champions were promoted up into Division 1 at the start of the 2015 campaign and showed they were up to the task making their third straight Grand Final across 2 Divisions.

Adam Clark is full of praise for his gutsy side, “I’m very happy with the way the team has come together over the last month.  With a number of players hitting good form, and the squad being bolstered by some exciting and talented young players, we’re peaking at the right time.

What will be the difference is our hunger for success, work rate and ability to soak up pressure and respond.  This will drive us to perform at the highest level in Sunday.”

This Sunday make sure you come down to Henson Park to cheer the Blues on to their 3rd straight flag. SUANFC will be running the canteen and there will be jumping castles, a BBQ, coffee and other refreshments being sold with all proceeds going towards the club.

Good luck to our Division 1 ‘Blues’ in their quest for the 2015 Flag!
