This weekend as we head into Round 6 of the shortened 2020 Season, our Mens Premier Division team are heading to Henson Park to take on UNSW-ES. The last time the SUANFC Mens Premier Division team lined up against the team from UNSW-ES was the 2019 Grand Final out at Blacktown International Sports Park on Saturday 14th September.
The 2019 Grand Final was a match that kept everyone on the edge of their seat, with Sydney Uni going into the second half ahead, only to eventually fall to UNSW-ES with a final score of 10.9-69 to UNSW-ES and 6.15-51 to Sydney Uni.
The boys are raring to go this weekend, hoping to continue their winning streak this season, and come out on top against a strong UNSW-ES team. Allister Clarke, Mens Premier Division Captain, is excited going into the weekend; ‘As a group, both our Prems and Prems reserves sides are really looking forward to this weekend. It’s been a really good week on the track for us, very much fuelled by the opportunity to knock off a team that we have a lot of respect form, and a team that neither the Premier Division or the Premier Division reserves have beaten in our last few outings.
Would be a great opportunity in our prems to continue an unbeaten streak and to put out a statement to the rest of the league about where we are at against a high quality opposition.’
The Mens Premier Division team take on UNSW-ES in a match not to be missed at Henson Park on Saturday 22nd August, with a 3pm kick off.
