Brandon Jack Joins Students in 2018

Former Sydney Swan Brandon Jack has officially joined the Students for the 2018 NEAFL season.

The 23 year-old brother of Kieran, played 28 games for the Swans over 5 seasons, after being selected with the 58th pick of the 2013 AFL National Rookie Draft.

Jack spoke of his eagerness to join the Students and begin the next chapter of his life after football.

“I’ve played against Tom (Morrison) and some of the other guys a fair few times and we went at each other pretty hard…I respect that,” said Jack.

“I’m looking forward to teaming up with them this year and hopefully rattling a few opposition teams together.”

SUANFC Coach Tom Morrison praised Jack on his attitude and looks forward to seeing what the dashing midfielder can add to his squad in 2018.

“Brandon is an opponent I have always respected. The Swans speak highly of him both on and off the field and until the day he signed with us he was disliked by our playing group because of his ruthless, competitive nature,” said Morrison.

“Now he’s one of us and really well liked by all. We enjoy working with him and I am certain the players will love competing with him.”

“We went after Brandon because he aligns with our values, has outstanding leadership qualities, versatility and leg speed. Brandon wants success with our group and, similar to Craig Bird, he is a local Sydney athlete that is aware of his role in assisting with the development of our young Sydney talent.”
