SUANFC is pleased to announce Aaron Day as the Men’s Premier Division Coach for the 2020 season. Day joined the Students as a NEAFL player in 2016 from South Australia where is played with both West-Torrens and Glenelg. Following three impressive seasons with the NEAFL program, Day retired from state league football at the conclusion of the 2018 season at which time he took up a key role in our Premier Division playing group for the 2019 season. In his first year playing at the Premier Division level Day impressed across the board with his professionalism, experience and leadership.
SUANFC President, Sam Power, noted that Day was the obvious successor to the role, “we are thrilled to be able to promote Daisy (Aaron Day) to head coach of our Premier Division program. Daisy is already a valued leader at our club. As an experience state league level player in the SANFL and NEAFL he brings a wealth of experience and insight that will elevate our group to another level”.
Day will begin the 2020 campaign in January, looking to take the program one step further, stating, “accepting the position of coach of this football club is an honour. I look forward to working with the club and playing group to ensure we maintain and build on the standards that are in place and ultimately improve on our 2019 campaign”.
