Growthbuilt SUANFC & Sports Lab in 2018: New Head Physio and Special Offers

Growthbuilt SUANFC’s long lasting partnership with Sports Lab continues into 2018, with the health care centre once again providing SUANFC members and their families and freinds, with excellent physiotherapy and other medical services from each of their four locations (Drummoyne, Alexandria, Double Bay and the CBD).

In 2018, Sportslab have provided Growthbuilt SUANFC’s NEAFL program with a new head physiotherapist, Nick Iconomou.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Health Science (Sport and Exercise Science) from Western Sydney University 2012, Nick went on to complete a Doctor of Physiotherapy at Macquarie University in 2016.

Through his time working as a physiotherapist, Nick has had the opportunity to work with multiple NRL, NSWRL and AFL teams. He has valuable experience in sport specific rehabilitation and a refined strength and conditioning skill set with the ability to apply it to professional athletes as well as the casual weekend warrior.

Nick can also assess and treat all types of musculoskeletal injuries including neck and back pain, muscle strains and joint sprains via manual therapy techniques and assisted exercise prescription.

Along with Nick, Simon Hall, will continue as head physiotherapist of our Premier Division side, following on from a successful 2017 season with the Club.

Clinically, Simon has a broad range of experience treating all musculoskeletal injuries including recurring lower back pain, postural neck pain, muscle strains, ligament sprains, tendon injuries and joint pain. Along with his work with SUANFC, Simon also has experience working with NPL soccer and Waratah League basketball teams.
