SUANFC inaugural Colts double Premiership hero Michael Hartley has joined the Hawthorn Hawks through the 2019 pre-season draft.
Hartley joined Collingwood’s development program as an NSW Scholarship player at the age of 14. The talented key defender represented the Students as well as New South Wales in the U18 Championships in 2011 before being selected in the 2012 Rookie draft by Collingwood. Hartley Was delisted by the Pies at the end of 2013, but given a second chance by Essendon, who took him with pick 68 in the 2015 national draft.
Hartley has been training with Hawthorn since the start of pre-season, after declining a contract extension with the Bombers earlier this month.
