Member Info: What to do before Round 1

Below is some information for our different members and teams, about what you need to do to ensure you season 2019 gets off to a great start.

Season Launch

All players, family, friends and supporters of the Club are welcomed to the 2019 Season Launch, which will be held on campus at the TAG Function Centre from 6pm.

A compulsory event for all 2019 playing members, the Season Launch signals the start of another gigantic campaign, as The Students look to compete for glory across it’s 9 different grades.

The event will once again be catered, with drinks available to purchase.

Attendance is compulsory – please RSVP via afl@sport.usyd.edu.au.

Registration

All players who wish to play this season, are required to register with the Club prior to selection of Round 1 teams.

Registering with the Club (you will also be required to pay fees) can be done so by clicking here.

If you’re joining the Club, and have played AFL at Club level previously, you will require a transfer. Please send your full name and DOB to afl@sport.usyd.edu.au, and we will organise your transfer.

2019 Fees

Players who wish to play football for the Club this season are required to pay fees prior to Round 1. There are two fee options for community members and USYD students/U19 members.

You must be paid and registered by 29th March in order to be considered for selection in Round 1.

Those who wish to play Premier Division football in 2019 must be paid and registered by 22nd March.

Mandatory Education Session & Apparel Collection

Players who have paid their fees will be able to pick up their designated 2019 apparel from the Club on the dates below. Players new to the club will receive a polo, two pairs of playing shorts and a pair of socks, while returning players will receive a training singlet, two pairs of playing shorts and a pair of socks.

If you’re unable to pick-up apparel on one of these dates, send a friend to grab yours, or send an email to afl@sport.usyd.edu.au to organise collection during business hours.

2019 Fixture Release & Event Schedule

Players will gain access to the AFL Sydney fixture on Friday March 15th. Some dates and events have been confirmed below.

Round 1 – Saturday 6th April

Easter – No games to be played

Ladies Day – Saturday 25th May

Old Boys Day – Saturday 29th June
