Mid Season Check In; Men's Premier Division Reserves

The Men’s Premier Division Reserves have had a good start to the season under the leadership of Head Coach Oscar Gibbins, having only dropped one game.

It’s been a strong start to the season for our Mens Premier Division Reserves team. Each week they have been competitive and have found a way to win 7 out of 8 matches. However the team certainly know they’ve got more to give and will be looking to do this in the second half of the season and really cement themselves as the dominant team in the comp.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON SO FAR

The first half of the season has been full of highlights for the Ressies, having only dropped one game and only by a couple of goals. They’ve been progressively improving and coming together as a team, even with significant personnel changes each week.

BIGGEST CHALLENGE FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON

The Ressies will be faced with the challenge of ensuring they continue to win, even as availabilities drop through the uni break and European summer. North Shore look to be the team to beat, so coming up against them and coming away with the win will be another challenge the team is more than ready to face.

KEY GAMES TO WATCH FOR THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON

Pennant Hills in Round 12 and North Shore in Round 17 will be tough games that will no doubt be thrillers to watch.

KEY PLAYERS TO WATCH IN THE SECOND HALF OF THE SEASON

Mal Picken has been dominant up forward and is certainly one to watch as we move into the second half of the season. Keep an eye out for Lewis McNamara who will be a dominant presence down back, and Dylan Abdurahman who has been impressive and consistent on ball.

Head Coach, Oscar, is confident in how the team has been performing, but knows they’ve got to keep working into the second half of the season: We’re in a good spot. We’ve been winning games without dominating the teams around us. We’ve got to keep winning and put ourselves in a position to challenge at the end of the year.”

Men’s Premier Division Reserves play their next match on Saturday 17th June, 4.40pm @ Kanebridge Oval vs East Coast Eagles. View their full fixture and ladder details HERE
