Newtown Swans Junior Football Club 20th Anniversary

On the 7th of February 1999, the Newtown Junior Australian Rules Football Club had its first meeting and the club was formed. The club invites all past and present players, parents and officals to help celebrate this special occasion.

Guest of honour on the night will be Alan Davidson, cricket legend of the 1950′ and 60’s, past NSW Cricket Chairman and the man our oval is named after. Hear how cricket and AFL history is intertwined at Alan Davidson Oval and how the two codes combined to raise the money to build the beautiful facilities Newtown Swans now call our home ground. Hear the Club was formed from a group of people having a regular kick around to Camperdown and Picken Oval came together to form the Newtown Swans.

The higlight of the night will be a panel consisting of Alan Davison, Past and Present Presidents and an AFL NSW/ACT Offical, where the audience can ask questions about the history of the club from its formation to its current place and the future of Junior AFL.

There will also be be an entertainement show and a DJ to help you catchup with former and present members of the club.

Ticket price also includes substantial cocktail food and an open bar, with wine, beer and soft drinks.
