SUANFC NEAFL defender Ryan Hebron was awarded a University Blue at Saturday’s Annual SUSF Blues Dinner.
In his first year with the Club, Hebron made a great impression, playing in every NEAFL fixture for The Students, earning accolades such as:
- NEAFL Representative Side Squad Member
- NEAFL Team of the Year Member
- 3rd in Timothy Driscoll Medal
- NEAFL Rising Star Nomination
- Joint Winner of SUANFC Rising Star Award
Off the field, the 20 year-old studies a BachelorĀ of Applied Science (Exercise Physiology).
Speaking with the Club, following Saturday night’s event, Hebron spoke of his enjoyment joining The Students for 2017.
“I really enjoyed my first year with The Students. To be recognised with a Blue is very humbling,” said Hebron.
“It’s much thanks to the support I got from the Club and the EAP program, both on the field and off with my study”.
Hebron is the Club’s latest Blues recipient, following in the footsteps of Tom Young, Lewis Stevenson and Tom Ayton, who were awarded Blues in 2015.
