Name:  Eloise Kneebone

Nickname: Knees

Team/position: Reserves / Ruck

When did you start playing AFL for Syd Uni what brought you here?

I started playing AFL for Syd Uni at the beginning of 2020. I had played half a season of footy before, and had loved it. I followed some friends to Sydney Uni training, and never looked back!

Do you have a game day superstition/ritual?

My pre-game ritual normally involves a combination of a well-timed strong coffee; lathering on sunscreen and a blast of the best pump-up song of all time (Untouched by The Veronicas).

What’s your go to meal post-game at the Nags?

I am a (part-time) vegetarian, so naturally my go-to post-game feed is the Chicken Schnitty.

What is your spirit animal and why?

I feel a deep affinity with giraffes – a bit lanky, can eat all day, a little bit clumsy.

What’s number one on your bucket list?

Number 1 on the to-do list this year is to get my first AFL goal.

Best advice you’ve ever been given?

If you can’t get a hit on the ball, get a hit on the opposition.

What’s your best party trick?

I have been known to engage in some very inaccurate palm readings.

What hobby did you pick up in lockdown?

I started to learn how to complete cryptic crosswords, but did not perfect the skill before lockdown ended. I now have a lot of half-finished cryptic crosswords
