The unfurling of two Students premiership flags will occur this Saturday, as the Division 1 Blues & newly promoted Division 2 Reds celebrate their 2015 triumphs.
The presentation will begin at approx. 12.55pm, between the ending of the Blues clash with Western Magic and prior to the Reds match against UNSW. Saturday sees the first time these two sides play together at No.1 Oval in 2016, with the thought of 2015’s ultimate success vivid in their memories.
The then-division 3 Reds enjoyed a hard-fought 19-point win over bitter rivals UTS, out west in Blacktown.
8 days later, the Blues played in a memorable final, defeating Pennant Hills by a single point, sending the Blues to back to back to back glory.
The unfurling of the premiership flags coincides with SUANFC’s annual Ladies Day. Festivities including local artisan markets, a champagne & oyster bar, live entertainment and a huge after party, are set to make Saturday one of the biggest days on the AFL Sydney’s calendar.
