SUANFC’s First Ever No.1 Ticketholders

SUANFC is proud to announce its first two club members as Fintan O’Connor and Chas Wilkinson.

Fintan arrived at the SUANFC in 1994 after starting his first year of a chemical engineering degree.

Throughout his 19-year playing career, Fintan won 5 premierships between 1997-2003, while also finishing Runners-Up in 2000 and 2002.

Fintan was awarded for his service to SUANFC in 2003, when he became a life member after winning what would be his final premiership as a player.

Following his playing days, Fintan went on to coach both the Blues and Reds for multiple years, winning a premiership with the Reds in 2009.

Chas has been President of SUANFC for 6 years now, but still finds time to lace up the boots for the Students every few weekends.

First registering for the club in 2004, Chas has played over 150 games for SUANFC, kicking an impressive 52 goals.

Over the years Chas, who was awarded a life membership in 2015, has worked tirelessly to ensure SUANFC remains the premier AFL club in NSW/ACT.

Recently, Chas founded the initiative #RuntotheGame.

#RuntotheGame allows people who support and love sport to keep fit and at the same time support a cause. Chas is currently raising funds for a Medical Allowance Fund helping young people with serious sporting injuries bridge the financial gap.

We congratulate both Fintan and Chas on becoming the first two club members of SUANFC.

A 2016 Club Membership is a great way to show your support for SUANFC, while also engraving yourself in the Club’s already rich history as an inaugural SUANFC Club Member.

In just a week, SUANFC has welcomed 17 members on board for 2016, but are still short of the 2016 target of 100 members.

With benefits including exclusive member apparel, discounts for club events, apparel and matchday food & beverages, and Inaugural Member recognition on the club website, a 2016 Club Membership is perfect for players, past & present, partners, family, volunteers and supporters of SUANFC.

Visit the Club Membership page to purchase your slice of SUANFC history.
