SUANFC Off-Season Diary

The AFL offseason is in full swing, with SUANFC players enjoying their 2 months off before the beginning of preseason later this month.

Despite rigorous training plans and strict diets, our players still find time to travel, study and enjoy everything Sydney has to offer in these warmer months.

Have a look below to see what your favourite SUANFC player has been up to this offseason.

The 2016 SUANFC NEAFL Players’ Player, Aaron Day tied the knot with partner Lucy Polkinghorne in recent weeks and is currently enjoying a well-earned honeymoon.

Division 1’s William ‘Lefty’ Wright & Liam Blue are putting in the hard yards for Club Partner Rubbish Taxi.

Everyone’s favourite Lloyd Perris flew north to Cairns on the 2016 NEAFL Footy Trip sporting a timeless outfit, while remaining sun smart in the process.

Harvey Gordon Medalist Allister Clarke enjoyed the end of classes with partner Lucinda Derrick, at the 2016 Sydney University Agriculture Ball.

Plats backman Isaac Martin was lucky enough to secure seats to this year’s AFL Grand Final. Unfortunately for the Isaac and a majority of the club, the Swans fell to the Bulldogs in a great game of football.

The Club’s principle partner CplusC won a Gold Award in the Interior Design category at the American Architecture Prize. Congratulations to Clinton and his crew on their achievements.

Three-time Driscoll Medalist Tim Barton and his dogs, Neville and Walter are working harder than ever after Tim finished his Veterinary degree this year.

The Golds’ Jordan Pickard completed the Blackmores Half Marathon to prove he is by far the fittest Division 4 footballer in Sydney AFL.

2016 NEAFL Leadership Group Member Monty Krochmal visited America’s west coast for a holiday with partner Samantha. Monty is a favourite amongst his piers…

NEAFL fullback Jarrod Irving is now happily married. The couple are enjoying their honeymoon before Jarrod returns for fitness testing in early December.

Oscar Osborne visited Byron Bay recently to celebrate the wedding of Jarrod Irving and his partner Jessica. Oscar and Allister (featured earlier) have also been busy setting up Everything Peppermint, a small business selling peppermint products sourced from New South Wales’ Riverina.

With 2016 quickly wrapping up, SUANFC is excited to see all its members enjoying their time away from football.

Preseason dates will be confirmed shortly and communicated to all new and existing players.

Bring on 2017!
